Our chapter was chartered in November 1986. The purpose of the organization is fellowship, public awareness and to encourage and support the rights of Vietnam Veterans and other veterans. We encourage family participation. The membership is open to all Vietnam Veterans and to Veterans with service dates of August 5, 1964 through May 7, 1975. Anyone having a desire to support these men and women may join as an associate member. VVA is tax exempt under IRS Code, Section 501 (c) (19).

Our mission is to advance the work of Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. through cooperative projects and/or programs to facilitate, enhance and improve communications with our members and the general public; and to continue legislative efforts to ensure the right and benefits for all veterans and their families. Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America are dedicated to the aggressive advancement of realistic goals with integrity and in the spirit of unity that reflect our commitment to Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., all Veterans, their families and communities.

Our Special Projects
Veterans Memorial, erected at the Ben J. Rogers Visitors Center at Ford Park, west of Beaumont.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, 6130 Keith Road located in Beaumont, Texas. Upon completion of the park there will be picnic areas.
Scholarships are awarded to Veterans, their families, grandchildren, and students sponsored by a chapter member.
Community Oriented. Through our fundraising efforts, we have benefitted Muscular Dystrophy, My Wish, Southeast Texas Food Bank, Rape & Suicide Crisis Center, Special Olympics, March of Dimes, Beaumont Fire Museum, Women & Children Shelter, Santa-in-Blue through the Beaumont Police Dept., Operation Desert Storm, Hurricane Relief for Andrew, Katrina and Rita, Boy Scouts, Little League Baseball, and other projects too numerous to name.
